Who I am.
Why Deadcow?!
Hi, my name is Jim, Big Jim to my friends (yeah, I guess you can count among my friends, you are, after all, reading about me), if you meet me on the Xbox I'm Deadcow360 (I was Deadcow, but then the 360 came, and I messed up my gamer tag transfer, so if there IS a Deadcow on the Xbox360, then that's not me.) I'm also Deadcow on the PS3. Also, my business is called Deadcow Design.
Most people, when they first meet me in a professional manner, ask me 'Why the name?', well, it's to do with when you sign up for Xbox live.
See I wanted to be Big-Jim, but it was taken already, so the Xbox gives you some suggestions, mine were Big-Jim1977, Big-Jim380, Big-Jim234, Deadcow. In that order.
And so, Deadcow it was. The name just kind of stuck. It's like my geek persona, the Batman to my Bruce Wayne.
I build websites and web applications, not just because it's a job but because I love doing it. I love the mental challenge and creative problem solving of web-development and I feel very blessed to be able to do the things that I love all the time and get paid to do them.
I have included a photo of me. Believe it or not, this is the best photo of me that I could find. I think I kind of look like Uncle Fester would look if he was a Geography teacher.
I am happily married to Kirstie, and have one furry feline son in the form of Henry - the worlds loudest cat.
Wether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right. - Henry Ford
